The United States fintech landscape is dominated by a number of companies that provide payment services including personal peer-to-peer payments: PayPal, Venmo, and Square. Amazon, Facebook, and Apple recently joined the competition as well. Other markets – such as the Asian market – often use these same international options plus their own payment systems that are unique to a particular country’s market.
